A woman enters a landscape seemingly marked by destruction. Yet from the black volcanic earth, delicate white flowers emerge, while small pools of water remain alive among the rocks.
Inspired by the biblical promise of restoration, the work explores the idea that destruction is not necessarily the end.
Where there appears to be death, God can bring forth life.
Where there is wilderness, something can bloom.
The woman in white stands at the threshold between a broken creation and a new one.
“The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom.”
